Lake Louise, 1975. Banff National Park, Alberta
This photograph was shot on 35mm Kodachrome 25 transparency film, using a Minolta SR-T101 SLR camera. I have always liked this camera for it's mechanical ruggedness and straight-forward design. The Minolta Rokkor optics were nice too, clean clear images without excessive contrast. Camera position was critical for this shot. I was nearly laying on the ground in order to place the flowers in the appropriate position against the contrasting green background grass and bushes. Some improvement of contrast and saturation was done in Photoshop from a high resolution Pro CD scan of the original transparency.
