Dallas, Moonrise, 1997. Dallas, Texas
This Dallas Texas photograph was made about a half hour after sunset from a short distance west of the city. I used a 4x5 view camera and Kodak Ektachrome film. The exposure was about 10 seconds long. The original transparency is sharp and full of detail. No color filter was used. The colors of light in this photograph are primarily from the warm glow of the sky after sunset and the fluorescent and tungsten lights of the city. The transparency was scanned with a high resolution scanner, and the digital file was optimized for contrast in Adobe Photoshop CS2.
